Driessen Beach Park is one of the better equipped Hilton Head Island Beaches. How to get there?
From William Hilton Parkway (278), while heading towards the South End of the Island, make a left to Bradley Beach Road (second left after Folly Field Road). The Park is located in the end of the street.
This is a Public Beach Access with plenty of parking spaces and parking meters.
Big Parking Lot
There is a long boardwalk leading to the beach. My Chihuahuas have to sniff ever inch of it so when we have them with us, it takes a while to get to the beach...
There is a little playground off the parking lot and some picnic tables inside a small pavilion.
Grill is available. I have seen a lot of parties taking place there, especially for kids.
Beach showers and restrooms complete the scenery.
Please note that the entrance to the beach is equipped with beach matting making it wheel chair accessible.
And here is the beach:
During the season beach rentals are offered and a life guard is on duty.
The Park is nice and clean, always well maintained.
If you are going for a walk, remember these two beautiful houses as your landmark to "way back to your car".
On your walk back to the parking lot you might see one of those!
Got to love Hilton Head
