When you start planning your wedding on Hilton Head you have to know how big will be your guest list. Of course, you don't need exact numbers but is it going to be 50? 100? 200? This number will probably determine where you will get married.

Luxury Hotels are the most popular choices. Why? Well, it is easy to go with them because they organize a lot for you. And it makes sense especially if you are coming from a different state.

I meet with many couples who come to the Island once or twice before their wedding and arrange for different things (very busy time for them) but no matter how much you can do while being here, there are always things to be still looked into.

Hotels take care of your accommodation (and perhaps also accommodation for your guests), they offer a wedding venue (with choices depending on your preferences), a location plus food for your reception and a spa (in most Luxury Hotels Spas are on premises).

Attention - Small weddings! If you are a guest in a any Hotel, and your wedding is a very small one (many times it is just the two of you or the two of you and a few family members and friends), you can get married on the beach, in front of the Hotel without any additional expenses. I have seen that a lot for the couples who don't need a reception. Usually they make reservations in one their favorite Hilton Head Restaurants.

In any case, Hotels are convenient and accommodating for any size of wedding. Needless to say, all of them offer different venues within the Resort, all of them quite spectacular.

Sea Pines Plantation where you can get married on a golf course (the golf course!), by the Liberty Tree (what a nice location!) or at The Inn at Horbour Town.

Rental House as a Host

Rent a House (preferably ocean front!) and get married in front of it with the following reception inside. Many couple do that especially that some of your guests can stay with you in the house.
